ScoutRail is an opportunity-scouting tool for businesses that bid for organisation and public-sector work. This notice explains what we hold and why, in line with South Africa's POPIA.
When you create an account we store your email address and either a hashed password (never the plain password) or, if you use Sign in with Google, the verified email Google returns. When you use the tool we store the business profiles you add (names, keywords, capabilities, regions) so we can run your radar.
We work with organisation-level opportunity data (public tenders and contract information), not personal contact lists. We do not sell your data, and we do not build profiles of private individuals.
To run your account and produce your opportunity radar. That is the only purpose.
You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time by emailing hello@scoutrail.io.
If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address from Google to identify your account. We do not access anything else in your Google account.
